For all of you who are thinking about getting a kitten or cat this spring, the Seattle Animal Shelter is hosting a cat adoption event on May 12th at the Magnolia Community Center (2550 34th Ave W) from 12-3pm. All the cats are up-to-date on their shots, have been spayed/neutered and are house trained.

Recently the Humane Society ranked Seattle the 2nd most humane city in the nation following San Francisco. They used 12 different categories to rank the cities and some of the factors include the numbers of pet-friendly hotels, off-leash dog parks, fur retailers, the ratio of wildlife watchers to hunters and even the number of vegetarian restaurants within the city limits. Last year I adopted Jack at the shelter- now he is a model!
