A study by the RealFacts research company revealed that Seattle has an average apartment rental amount of $1,004 per month and shows a 9% increase from the previous year. There are now 8 western markets with monthly apartment rents of $1000+, 7 of which are in California. The most expensive rental rates are in Los Angeles and the Orange Counties with an average of $1,588 per month followed by Ventura County with $1,525, and San Francisco/Oakland with $1,459.
