Up for another spooky residence? This home in Canton, Mississippi was built by Dr. James Priestley in 1852. The doctor and his wife Susan died in the early 1900s during an epidemic of yellow fever and have stuck around ever since.

Previous owners have reported paranormal activity, claiming to have seen the ghost of Mrs. Priestly in the bedroom where she passed. Neighbors have also spotted her figure standing in the windows. Additional events witnessed include a piano playing on its own and candles falling from their holders.

Despite some ghostly events, the property has been restored to its original appearance and well maintained—receiving the Outstanding Restoration award from the Mississippi Historic Trust in 2010.
