Vulcan Real Estate has shared plans to renovate Chandler’s Cove at Lake Union and relaunch as Lake Union Piers. Enhancements to the 8.3-acre property will transform it into a lakefront entertainment hub with terraces, event spaces, retail, dining, and more.
Lake Union Piers includes 60,000 square feet of commercial space across four buildings. Improvements to the area include an upgrade of building exteriors, creation of new indoor and outdoor dining areas, replacing existing equipment with energy efficient systems, and improved retail storefronts.
There will also be improved access for pedestrians, cyclists, cars, and boats—including connecting the Cheshiahud Lake Union loop trail with enhanced walkways and greenery, and reconfigured parking and drop off areas.
Daniel’s Broiler and other long-term tenants, as well as the marina will remain throughout the process. Phase one of construction began in January and is scheduled to be completed this fall, followed by phase two’s completion in fall 2023.
