The long-stalled AVA Hotel Tower that was planned for the corner of 8th Avenue and Pine Street in downtown Seattle, is being reinvigorated. The AVA development project was proposed back in 2007, a mixed use project that included 190 hotel rooms and approximately 200 private residences. Then the economy tanked and the project was put on the back burner. That is until recently, when original Developer Fana Group went back to the drawing board.
The new design is going to be bigger and better. In the proposal filed with the City, the new design is for the 48-story hotel & residential tower including 395-units, 178-hotel rooms, 375-parking spaces, and 8,000 square feet of retail.
The Architect is Weber Thompson.
The big question is whether they will be apartments or condominiums. Still too early to tell.
