It’s that time of the year again, St Patricks Day Seattle Events commence!
St. Patrick Arrives – Landing of St. Patrick
Friday, March 10th at 6:00 pm – South Lake Union
St. Patrick was originally brought to Ireland by Irish pirates around 400 AD. Over 1600 years later, the Pirates of the Emerald Isle will deliver St. Patrick back to the Emerald City, dropping him off at South Lake Union, near MOHAI. You can’t miss it. All are welcome – No admission fee. Hop aboard at FX McRory’s Steak Chop & Oyster House (Pioneer Square 419 Occidental Ave S) at 5 pm for the trip to South Lake Union and you will be brought back to McRory’s by 6:30 pm for the Green Stripe Laying.
Green Stripe Laying Mini Parade
Friday, March 10th at 7:00 pm – 4th Avenue
Don’t miss the annual “Laying O’ The Green” stripe! This mini parade is to mark the route of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade down the center of 4th Avenue, starting from Jefferson St at 7 pm. Hop aboard at FX McRory’s Steak Chop & Oyster House (Pioneer Square 419 Occidental Ave S) at 6:30 pm for the trip to 4th and Jefferson.
Raising of the Irish Flag
Saturday, March 11th at 12:20 pm – King County Administration Building
The Mayor of Seattle and The Parade Grand Marshals will raise the Irish Tricolor in front of the Administration Building (500 4th Ave S), followed by trumpeters playing the Irish and US National Anthems.
St Patricks Day Parade
Saturday, March 11th at 12:30 pm – 4th and Jefferson to 4th and Pine
St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal Timothy Egan and Honorary Parade Grand Marshal Mary Charles, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray and Galway Mayor Noel Larkin, will lead Seattle’s 46th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The route is along 4th Avenue, traveling north from Jefferson Street and ending at the Westlake Park (4th Ave and Pine). From there participants are invited to travel for free via the Monorail to the Seattle Center for closing ceremonies at the Irish Festival in the Armory at 2:30 pm.

Explore and experience the cultural roots and contemporary influences of Ireland through music, dancing, activities, foods, games, and marketplace.
St Patricks Day Dash
Sunday, March 12th at 8:30 am – Seattle Center
The St. Patricks Day Dash begins at the Seattle Center and goes through downtown Seattle on 4th Avenue and back. Rise and shine for an 8:30 start, then run, walk, jog, or crawl. The Leprechaun 1K Dash for kids 10 and under begins at 8:00 am. Remember to wear green! Register online.
