KODA Condominium Tower International District
The corner of South Main Street and Fifth Avenue in Seattle’s International District is set to become the site of a tower home to 200-plus condominiums. The KODA Condominium Tower, designed by KMD Architects and developed by Taiwan-based Da-Li development, hopes to break ground in the Spring of 2018 and occupancy by 2020.

Current designs show an 18 story glass dominated tower with retail below. The floor plans include 104 open one bedrooms, 71 one bedrooms and 28 two bedroom units. Due to its proximity to employment centers, the Link Light Rail, the streetcar, ferries and buses, there will only be 77 parking spaces. Despite the limited parking space, there will be 103 spots for bicycles. Amenities will include a fitness room, library, indoor dog run along with a 17th floor lounge with a small kitchen and karaoke bar. The name, Koda, means friend or ally in Sioux and is also a flowering tree in the pacific rim and Asia. Paralleling the history of Seattle given that it was native land and also given its future as a global city.

Pricing will start around the $300s for the 200+ unit building. No general contractor announced at the time.
