If you’re thinking of investing in Bremerton Real Estate, come July it’s only going to be 30 minutes from Seattle thanks to additional walk-on commuter Fast Ferries that will be added to the fleet.
King County home prices have hit a new high this last month, that coupled with low inventory is leaving a lot of prospective homeowners to shift their attention to neighboring cities that are within an easy commute distance. One of those areas is just across Puget Sound in Bremerton. As a result, Bremerton Real Estate is taking off!
It’s not just the low prices that are attracting buyers, but the commute is about to get a lot faster. Three more walk-on commuter ferries will be added this summer which will make the commute time only about 28-minutes each way, which is half the time of whats currently in place. When you really think about it, sometimes that’s how long it takes to get from downtown to I-5 during rush-hour. Seems like an ideal alternative to transportation.
Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) reported that in King County alone, the Median home price was $560,000. Just across the Puget Sound over in Kitsap County the median price range was $307,250.
The Kitsap walk-on ferry is expected to start service July 10.
