The Emerald Seattle
The developers of The Emerald announced this week a new perk that future residents will be able to enjoy: a car sharing service featuring Tesla electric vehicles.
Daniels Create World LLC is partnering with Envoy Technologies, a provider of shared on-demand, community-based electric vehicles. This will be the first partnership in the Seattle for the California-based company.
Envoy is starting small, with only a pair of Tesla vehicles available for rent. However, capacity for additional parking and charging stations is baked into the project, so Envoy can increase the number of cars at any time.

Beginning with a pair of Tesla vehicles, Emerald residents will be able to reserve either a Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles. They will be able to be booked “by the minute, hour, or day” via Envoy’s mobile app.
The two Teslas will be charged at a ground-level station at the tower. Given that additional charging stations will be built into the project, additional vehicles could be added a later time.
The Emerald released its price guidance last month as its sales began. The 41-story tower is currently under construction at the southwest corner of 2nd Avenue and Stewart Street and is scheduled to be completed next year.
