The city has contracted Gary Merlino Construction crews to start installing more than 
14,000 feet of new water mains near the top of Queen Anne next week. The Queen Anne Water System Improvements project will improve water pressure to 600 single and multi-family properties, increase water storage capacity and improve reliability. -I personally welcome the water pressure!
This phase of the project will be completed in 3-4 months starting at W Garfield St & 5th Ave W moving east to 1st Ave N. The construction will occur Monday-Friday 7:30am to 7:00pm and will impact parking, noise levels and traffic. Read more for details and project contact information.
The second phase of the improvement will be replacing the two historic Standpipes with one new 2 million gallon tank starting this summer.
