NEIGHBORHOOD VIBE

Lower Queen Anne is located directly north of Belltown and located at the base of Queen Anne Hill and is connected to Upper Queen Anne by an extremely steep section of Queen Anne Avenue North. The name Queen Anne stems from the popularity of the Queen Anne residential style architecture built in this area during the late 1880’s.

Lower Queen Anne is a tourist hot spot. You’re steps from attraction heavy Seattle Center, plus an ample selection of fantastic restaurants and bars in the area including Toulouse Petit, Pesos, Crow, Taylor Shelfish, and Ten Mercer. It is also home to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and numerous small to medium-sized tech companies.

At Seattle Center you can enjoy the interactive exhibits at Pacific Science Center and the Museum of Pop Culture. The Chihuly Garden is a museum in the Seattle Center that showcases the studio glass of Dale Chihuly, the Exhibition includes eight Galleries, the centerpiece Glasshouse, and a lush Garden. Counterbalance Park is a paved urban space, that’s a basic nesting spot during the day, but at night lights up with a rainbow light show. Then make your way up the Space Needle, Seattle’s iconic landmark and tourist attraction for unparalleled views of the city. Have a night out and enjoy the arts at McCaw Hall where the Pacific Northwest Ballet and Seattle Opera call home.

The residents are mostly single, urban professionals in their mid-twenties to early thirties who enjoy a healthy nightlife and unassuming upscale residences. Many of the people who live in the neighborhood enjoy the easy commute to downtown Seattle, on foot or via bus mostly. The neighborhood is made up a mixture of apartment complexes, condos, and houses.
