Another residential tower is coming to Belltown! Developer TeamRise and architects Callison RTKL and Studio 19 have plans to add a 24-story high-rise tower next to the existing Landmark Franklin Apartments Building, which will be completely renovated in the process. TeamRise purchased the Franklin Apartments and the adjacent land last year for $20 million.
In the proposal, the preferred option includes 287 residential units, 204 parking spaces, and 8,768 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The concept of this design option breaks up the new tower into three smaller portions. These three pieces are incrementally “lifted” in order to create a transition of scale between the new tower and the historic Franklin Building. This also creates a spatial relationship between the new tower and the historic building. A couple pros to this proposal: Tower location is completely off of Historic Franklin building footprint giving it a significant presence; Roof of Franklin building can be utilized as large outdoor amenity area.

No official word yet if the Franklin Fourth & Bell Tower Project will be apartments or condos.
The Franklin Fourth & Bell Tower Project is located in the heart of Belltown, on the same block of Seattle Fire Department- which of course would have it’s pros and cons.
